Black Marble ☂ A Great Design

   ~Where the sewers meet the sunlight~

A truly amazing piece of subterranean synth-pop/post punk.
Phase 2 of Black Marble is officially in effect, the mysterious duos debut full length release is on it’s way. Originally Black Marble hit the blogs as a catchy dark hyper lo-fi synth heavy post-punk act with about as much mainstream appeal as black pitch in a tin can(I loved it) but with this new track from their new album entitled A Different Arrangement, its apparent that Black Marble could be evolving into a more accessible synth pop act. However, this simply shows their growth as musicians and artists. It’s almost as if they took their sound from the cold sewer-ways and rose out from beneath the manhole cover into the bright warm sunshine and decided to bask for a while.

I could easily see the duo diving back into the primordial ooze of old school
Black Marble with darker sounds on other tracks on the album, Im just saying I love this side of them as well. The stripped down minimalist song structure is(at its core) pop perfection, and I’m not going to pretend like Im not extremely impressed because.. I am…. And you should be too. Check it out. <3
