Shoegaze/Dream-pop outfit Echo Lake’s full length Wild Peace is out today, the result is a sunny shimmering journey that plays on your emotions like any bittersweet balad you heard on the radio in your pre-teen years when you had a crush. The band’s ability to create stunning dreamy songs that suck you in deeper and deeper with every chord progression is really stunning. Aside from just having a pure dream pop/shoegaze vibe, the band also has an style that reminds me of older female driven alternative acts like The Sundays, Mazzy Star, and Cocteau Twins(naturally)especially on the closing track of the album entitled “Just Kids”
